NVIDIA is partnering with University of Modena in Italy to provide a unique opportunity for a three year Research internship in conjunction with pursuing a PhD at the university. We are searching for an outstanding computer vision and deep learning researcher to join the dynamic vision and learning research team. We are passionate about research that pushes boundaries but also has impact in the real world!What you’ll be doing:Research, design and implement novel techniques for video understandingPublish original research.Work together with members of the team.Collaborate with other teams and uncover research needs within NVIDIA.Collaborate with external researchers.What we need to see:Must hold a Masters in, e.g., Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics.Excellent knowledge of theory and practice of computer vision methods, as well as deep learning.Excellent programming skills in some rapid prototyping environment such as Python; C++ and parallel programming (e.g., CUDA) is a plus.Knowledge of common machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.Having done a project, e.g., the master thesis, in computer vision.Big plus if you have a publication record in computer vision in conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR.Excellent communications skills.Good knowledge of version control systems, e.g., git.The candidate will be hired as a fixed-term researcher for a three year engagement at NVIDIA and will concurrently work toward a PhD from the University of Modena. Admission to the program will be a condition of employment.The scholarship is highly competitive.
